About Ms. Altomer

Biography
Ms. Altomer was born in Yonkers, NY and lived in Yorktown Heights until 5th grade, when she moved to Germantown, NY. She graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a degree in Elementary Education and College of St. Rose for a graduate degree in Reading. Ms. Altomer was hired by Mohonasen CSD and has been enthusiastically teaching 4th grade since 1999. She has two children of her own, Ryan and Emily and lives in East Greenbush, NY.

Ms. Altomer's hobbies include skiing, tennis, running, shopping (especially for clothes) and traveling all around the world. Internationally, she has been to London, Paris, Turkey and Greece. She loves to read all types of books & magazines. She especially likes to read healthy cooking books and create dishes that taste great and are healthy for her family.

1. I am HORRIBLY afraid of spiders!
2. My favorite pattern is CHEETAH and LEOPARD print!
3. I love to shop for clothes with my daughter at the mall!
4. I miss my kids when I'm teaching and I miss my class when I'm at home!
5. I love to go to the WonderWorks in the Destiny USA mall!
6. I love the smell of fruity and perfume candles!
7. I am a double, black diamond skier.
8. I am not a morning person, I much rather prefer to stay up late!
9. I have NEVER broken any bones in my body!
10. I was not good at reading as a kid, but love to read now!
