Milton has a long storied baseball tradition. MRec has many options to chose from for all ages and levels of play!!!

ALL GRADES LEVELS ARE CURRENT GRADES

P-K through 2nd Grade Options:

Little Hitter(T-Ball)

Games are played on Monday/Wednesday at Schilberg Park

Practices start: Mid May

Game schedule: Late May-mid July

Grades PK-K (Must be 4) : Little Hitters: This is the starting point for your athlete. Little hitters is a t-ball only league. Games are co-ed and fun is the emphasis with players starting to learn fundamentals. Practices will be held 2 times a week at the beginning of the season (mid May). When games start at the end of May, we will have one practice a week (Monday nights) and one game a week (Wednesday nights) for the first 3 weeks of the games. From week 4 of our game schedule to the end of the season, we will play 2 games a week. We will look to play 10-12 games. Again we play games on Monday and Wednesday nights.

Cost $55

Little Hitters are for students that are in currently in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten (2023/2024 school year)

Big Hitter (Coaches Pitch)

Games are played on Tuesday/Thursday at Schilberg Park

Practices start: Mid May

Game schedule: End of May-mid July

Grades 1-2: Big Hitters: The second step in your athletes ball game journey. Bigger Hitters is a coaches pitch league with a emphasis on learning to continue fundamentals. Practices will be held 2 times a week at the beginning of the season (mid May). When games start at the end of May, we will have one practice a week (Tuesday nights) and one game a week (Thursday nights) for the first 3 weeks of the games. From week 4 of our game schedule to the end of the season, we will play 2 games a week. We will look to play 10-12 games. Again we play games on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Cost: $55

Bigger hitters is for 1st and 2nd graders league is the current grade level (2023/2024 school year)

1st & 2nd grade Minor League:

Minor League Games are played on Tuesday/Thursday. All games will be played in Milton

Practices start: Mid May

Game schedule: June-mid July

Minor League: 1st/2nd grade co-ed

This league is designed to help players make the challenging transition from a slower paced coach-pitched games to a more in-depth fundamental building league that will play with more advanced rules geared for traditional game like feel. All players who can demonstrate proper technique throwing / catching and hitting a ball should play at this level. Practices will start in May. Games will start after Memorial Day. For the first 3 weeks of the game schedule, practices will be held on Tuesday nights and games on Thursday nights. Starting the 4th week of the game schedule thru the end of the season (mid July) we will only play games each week.

Minor League cost $55

3rd grade though 8th grade baseball options:

Boys baseball Overview:

MRec will be joining the Quad County Baseball League. This league will play in the Quad County Rec League and have games with the following communities: Burlington, Delavan, East Troy, Elkhorn, Lake Geneva, Palmyra, Lakeland, Mukwonago Waterford, Whitewater and Williams Bay. These communities have joining together for a recreation baseball League for youth players. The league will be split into divisions or pods to help cutting down travel time between the communities

3rd & 4th Grade Options Jr League:

MREC BASEBALL IS JOINING A NEW RECEATION BASEBALL LEAGUE, QUAD COUNTY REC LEAGUE

Games are played mostly on Monday/Wednesday but will play on other weekdays as well

Practices start: Mid April

Game schedule: Mid May-mid July

Boys Junior League Baseball: MRec Junior League Baseball is the next step in your athlete’s advancement in the game of baseball. Having fun is still the main priority for this league, with more emphasis on skill development. Your child will have fun and learn the game of baseball.

MREC BASEBALL IS JOINING A NEW RECEATION BASEBALL LEAGUE, QUAD COUNTY REC LEAGUE

Games are played mostly on Tuesday/Thursday but will play on other weekdays as well

Practices start: Mid April

Game schedule: Mid May-mid July

Boys Little League Baseball: While receiving more skill instruction, fun and enjoying the great game of baseball is still stressed. Your athlete will receive more position specific instruction and learn to be a better ball player.

Games will be played mostly on Tuesday/Thursday but games will need to be played on other days during the week as well. Practices will start mid/late April with games scheduled to start mid May.

7th & 8th Grade Pony League options:

MREC BASEBALL IS JOINING A NEW RECEATION BASEBALL LEAGUE, QUAD COUNTY REC LEAGUE

Games are played mostly on Monday/Wednesday but will play on other weekdays as well

Practices start: Mid April

Game schedule: Mid May-mid July

Boys Pony league: Time to take the next step. Pony League offers a larger field and a bigger chance to compete. Coaches still focus on making the game fun, but also continue working on core fundamentals.

Games will be played mostly on Monday/Wednesday but games will need to be played on other days during the week as well. Practices will start mid/late April with games scheduled to start mid May.
