MRec's Partnership with Integrity Martial Arts

MRec's is partnering with Integrity Martial Arts in Milton to bring an exciting activity to our list of activities that we offer!!!!

What: Integrity Martial Arts is looking to have an introduction level class to Martial Arts for students in the district. These classes will teach the basic entry level Martial Arts skills. Classes will be on Sundays and held at the Integrity Martial Arts Studio on Parkview Drive here in Milton (across from Milton East Elementary)

When: Sundays, October 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th

Who: Two age breakdowns: 4 year old ­ 6 year old and 7 year old & up

Time: 4 year old ­ 6 year old 2:30pm to 3:00pm, 7 year old and up 3:15pm to 3:45pm

Covid Precautions: Each student will have their own socially distanced training pod with their own training bag. Every person in the school is required to wear a mask. All spectators will need to observe from outside of the school.

MREC IS NOW OFFERING DANCE CLASSES!!!!

Milton Recreation Dance Classes will take place at Milton High School. The dance year will run October 2021 to June 2022 consisting of 4 terms. Each term consists of 8 weeks and classes are scheduled once weekly. The price of classes per term is: 1 class: $50, 2 classes: $80, 3 classes: $120, 4 classes: $160, 5 classes: $200 Classes offered are the following:

Ages 3-4: Mini combo(ballet/hip hop)

Ages 5-7: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop

Ages 8-10:Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical

Ages 11-14: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical

Ages 15-18: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical

In addition to the tuition fees, there will be a costume fee of $50 that will be due the week of November 29th - December 3rd. The costume fee will include the child’s costume along with the tights they will wear for that certain genre. Dress rehearsal and recital will take place in June at the Milton High School Auditorium.

Registration of classes needs to be in by September 3rd with first term payment. On the evenings of September 8th and September 9th from 4-7pm, there will be a shoe fitting at the high school, in order to receive your child’s shoes by our start date. The payment for shoes will be due at the fitting. A schedule for classes will be sent out no later than September 24th. MRec Lap swimming update

Morning lap swimming will be Monday-Friday. Monday and Friday times are 5am-7am and Tuesday-Thursday are 5:30am-7am. Pool entrance will be from the north parking lot off of Municipal Drive door 16.

Evening lap swim will be Monday and Wednesday nights from 5:30pm-7pm. Pool entrance will be from the north parking lot off of Municipal Drive door 16.

*Note* On our evening lap swim, lap swimmers will have the pool for the first hour (5:30pm-6:30pm). The last half hour we will be sharing the pool with the our rec swim team the Milton Marlins
