Kinorhyncha
Measurement Database

Update info

22 Nov. 2022: The Kinorhyncha Measurement Database is opened.

About this database

This is a database for morphometrics of Kinorhyncha created by Alberto González-Casarrubios (Complutense University of Madrid) and Dr Hiroshi Yamasaki (Kyushu University).

The database is an online repository of morphological measurements of kinorhynch species and individuals.  The aim of the database is to collect the morphometric data of kinorhynchs at the individual (specimen) level for all described species.

The morphometric data  for deposited in the database is all measured following González-Casarrubios et al. (2023).  The standard template for taking measurements can be downloaded as an Excel file, as a csv file, or from the supplementary file of González-Casarrubios et al. (2023).

How to measure and deposit the data

Both published/unpublished data is welcome to be submitted.
However, If possible, we recommend that the data be published in a scientific publication first (e.g., as a usual table or as a supplementary file) and then deposited to the database.
If you wish to deposit unpublished data, we recommend providing the information (e.g., name and affiliation) of the person who made the measurements, in addition to the morphometric data.
