In our 24-hour news cycle, we are bombarded with information.  This semester-long course will help you sift through this information to better understand what is happening in our world.  Your media savvy and critical thinking skills will be enhanced by researching beyond current headlines to understand cause-and-effect relationships in our world.  You will discuss and debate thoroughly researched topics in a professional manner in order to provide a model of civil discourse.  Finally, you will understand how the media operates in bringing these issues to you.
