Human Anatomy and Physiology explores how the human body is organized and how it functions. Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2 can be taken in any order, each class covers different organ systems. Both of these courses are college level courses (see next paragraph). Laboratory activities include dissection of fetal pigs or cats. This course is recommended for any student considering health-related fields such as nursing or sports medicine.
Students can take Anatomy and Physiology and get college credit through Northland Community and Technical College. The class for Anatomy and Physiology II is Biol 2262 and is 4 credits. Information about the College in the High School Program through NCTC can be found here.
