Chemistry

Chemistry is the study of the substances that make up our world and the changes that they undergo. Students will study the structure of atoms and molecules and relate this to the behavior of these substances in their everyday lives. Students will learn safe laboratory practices, and design and perform some investigations in teams. Topics to be studied include atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical bonding, and energy in chemical reactions, equilibrium, states of matter, and acids and bases.

Students are required to take one of the following: Chemistry, CIS Chemistry, or Physics.
