Biology is a general science course that meets the state's requirement for a biology course. Biology is the science devoted to the study of living things. Students will learn basic biological concepts, such as cell structure and function, cells and energy, the environment, and continue through pathogens and how the human immune system works. There will be a MCA standardized test at the end of this course.
Biology by Miller and Levine (see below) is a textbook that is available as a reference. However, our class will not follow the outline of the book and will only rarely use it in class.
