Click “Next” button.
Enter in YOUR email address. Please be sure to use an active email account (NOT MARIAN GAFE). If you do not have your own email address, you may use your parent(s) email address. If a sibling has already used your family email address, please create a new email address for you to use.
Next, you will be asked to create a password. It must contain letters and numbers. I suggest using your initials, followed by your ID number (ex. cs100001). Then you choose a question/answer that will be used in case you forget your password. If you forget your password, you will need an accessible way to retrieve it.
Finally, enter in your first name and last name when prompted. You MUST fill this in properly – no nicknames, or I will not recognize you as a student of this class!
Once you have completed the steps of the user set-up wizard, you can then follow the link to our class.
Submitting Your Paper:
You’ll see a screen that has our class listed. My classes are listed by course and period number (ie: English 2 Period 1). Click on your class.
Next, you’ll see a new screen that has our paper topic listed.
Click on submit
button.
You will then be asked to type in the title of your paper. Please type in your title as it appears on your paper. Then you can select the browse button to attach your paper from the file.
Once you have done that, then hit the submit button in the right-hand corner of the upload box.
A new box will pop up, showing you the first page of your paper. It will ask you Is this the paper you want to submit? If it is, click yes, submit.
You will then be given a Turnitin digital receipt. Please print this off – it may serve as proof that you turned your paper in electronically. Keep it at home unless I ask for it.
You may now follow the link button to your portfolio.
It may take several minutes for your paper to be “read” and assessed. DON’T PANIC! Remember – I have the final say with this paper – not the system! The system is simply a tool we can use to help us learn how to work with sources! Good luck!
