•Project: Option 1
In pairs, you will make a story book about the impact of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam in the Middle East today.
Focus: The book should be divided into four parts:
1) Introduction- the rise of the three religions and their status today in the region
2) Each religions important figures, beliefs, events, writings
3) Religious practices among the Jews, Christians, and Muslims
4) Conclusion- how does religion affect the lives of the people in the region
Requirements: Each book should have a balance of pictures and text information. The book can be made by hand or on the computer and then printed out. A works cited page needs to be included at the back of the book. See rubric for more detailed requirements.

In pairs, you will make a story book explaining the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Focus: The book should be divided into four parts:
1.) Introduction - the rise of Judaism as a religion followed by Islam. Compare and contrast their beliefs, important figures, and culture.
2.) History of the land - Who has controlled the land of Israel, Syria, Gaza Strip, and Palestine, over time and how has power changed hands up to today.
3.) Current conflict - Compare and contrast the Israeli point of view with the Palestinian point of view since the creation of the state of Israel.
4.) Conclusion/Resolution - Explain the possible solutions for peace in this region. What is the best one and why?
