We know during 8th grade is when most students attempt to get a driving permit. We are going to practice reading technical writing with the Drivers License Manual. We will also be practicing the reader's workshop strategy of DETERMINING IMPORTANCE. All attachments needed are attached below.
STEPS:
1.) Each group will be assigned a section of the manual to evaluate the information, determine the most important information, and highlight said information.
3.) The next expectation of the unit will be to take the important (highlighted) information from the manual and create a review game that is student friendly for anyone preparing to take the test for a drivers permit.
**Even though some of you are already have your permit, you can help other students by picking out the most important information and creating a review game.**
The Driver's License Manual is online for viewing, therefore to save paper, we will not have paper copies of the manual. Please use the link below to navigate the manual.
The attachements below will be needed to complete the Driver's License Manual Unit.
DLM Group Assessment: This is the assessment you will be using when grading your own project based on how well group members contributed.
