City College of San Francisco Instructor Edward Simon Hanson PhD. Took a sabbatical during the Spring 2017 semester. Purpose of this website is to document his whereabouts, encounters, thoughts, and discoveries during this time.

There are over 1160 public and private Community Colleges in the United States during my trip I managed to visit 48 colleges in 75 days.

The northern leg of the trip was significantly impacted by multiple storms and inclement weather conditions. Nevertheless I believe I managed to accomplish many of the goals of the project and will be creating summary documents focused on specific target audiences. The image below was taken from my GPS device where I have entered the majority of colleges which I used as waypoints in my travels. While I successfully made it to visit the southernmost college in Key West, the northernmost goalpost of visiting a community colleges in Maine was not reached due to late season snow storms. I did however, reach New York City and took advantage of a brief break in the storms to visit a community College in Canada on the return leg of the trip.
