Dear Students and Parents,
Students must either order/pay for their exam in APTS or complete an AP EXAM WAIVER FORM. This information has been communicated to students through a personal visit to their class during the third week of September, a post on the Guidance website, multiple posts in the teachers' Google Classrooms, oral announcements from the teachers, and email reminders from the teachers. This information was also communicated home in two Genesis announcements. The deadline was set for October 20th. You are receiving this email today because your child HAS NOT registered for the AP Exam.
Sitting for an AP exam is not required of students who are enrolled in AP courses. However, if students do not sit for the AP exam, then the AP course will be factored into the student's GPA with ONLY Honors weighting. This is school policy as determined by our administration. To ensure that all students are fully aware of this policy. I will not place an exam order until every child is spoken with and has either registered for the exam or completed an AP Exam Waiver Form. Please discuss the AP exam with your child and make a final decision as to whether or not you wish to sit for the exam.
If you DO NOT want to sit for the exam, please sign and return one of the AP EXAM WAIVER FORMS for EACH AP CLASS.
If you DO wish to sit for the AP Exam in May, the portal has been reopened for you to order and pay for your exam. The portal will close Tuesday evening. The link can be found on the Guidance Home Page by going to www.lvhs.org and clicking on Guidance. Or, you can paste this URL in your browser: https://aptsusa.com/lenapevalley/ For students who are eligible, a fee reduction code can be provided by your guidance counselor.
I will not place the AP order until I have received a response from EVERY student, but the deadline is next week so we must hurry. PLEASE REPLY TO THIS EMAIL TO INFORM ME OF YOUR INTENTION TO ORDER/PAY THROUGH APTS OR RETURN THE COMPLETED AP EXAM WAIVER FORM.
Thank you very much!
Sincerely,
Maria Kochan

Helpful Materials to Prepare for the AP World History Examination in May:
1. Pocket Prep Application: AP World History Exam Prep
This is a free application one can attain off of the Apple App Store
2. YouTube
While not a new site, accessing the numerous historical videos pertaining to the periods we are studying will help to reinforce materials and perhaps provide a different view.
It is suggested that if videos are mentioned - you do, at some point - watch them. It would be helpful to add a section to your binder where you can take notes on the video (so you can review them later on). Videos are listed below based on periods covered by AP. (I am continually working on creating functional hyperlinks that will bring you to the resource directly) If you encounter a link that does not work - let me know as soon as possible and I will fix the link tot he best of my ability:

Yes. This site is mostly used for pinning pictures or materials that people find interesting. However, it is chock full of information pertaining to every single era and period of time we will be covering. I highly suggest making an account and pinning materials that are useful.
