Getting ready

The first priority is to be sure you have a valid passport. You'll find all the information you need here.

NOTE: Be sure that your passport is valid through AT LEAST October of 2017.

Our tour company is Tour Resource Consultants. Their website has valuable information about international travel. This is where you will go to provide individual information and make payments. You will be able to create an account with a personalized login.

The unit of currency in Italy is the Euro.

As you think about packing, plan on one bag you'll check, weighing no more than 50 lbs. You may bring a carry-on bag or backpack on the plane. In your carry-on, you'll want to have your passport, reading material for the flight, a change of underwear, a toothbrush and a small tube of toothpaste. Any liquids or gels must be under 3 oz. and must be in a clear plastic bag. If you bring a water bottle, which is a great idea, it must be empty when you go through airport security. Once you've gone through the security check, you can fill your water bottle for the flight. There is more detailed TSA information here.

For electrical appliances and chargers, you'll need adapters. Rick Steves has a good explanation of adapters and converters. The link is here.

It's not too early to begin speaking Italian! Duolingo has an online course as well as an app that are great. Memrise is another great free app. There are many other options.

I encourage you to visit websites from our previous concert tours. You'll get a good sense of what a performance tour can be.
