Yellow Road to Reading

This week try to make a list of 20 words THAT include bossy E words.

1. List the bossy E words you know or find them in a book.
2. THEN write a poem.
3. Bossy E spelling pattern o_e hope, a_e name, i_e hide, u_e dude, e_e Pete

Here's an example: word list first and then the poem.

rode, ride, came, same, lame, mule, name, bike, like, side, hide, tide, slide, hope, joke, nope, lope, game, fame, tame, poke, broke

The Mule

I rode a lame mule,

who hee hawed and complained

until we came to the barn

full of hay and grain.

Try a simple poem like this with the words you can come up with. Use as many words from you list as you can and then draw a picture that matches your poem.
