Green Road to Reading

Green groups are using the VOWEL TEAMS that go in the middle of the words. This week

• choose 5 words that have a vowel team
• rearrange the letters to make other words.
• Use all the letters in the words or just some of the letters
• Find words in books or look around the house at packages or other printed paper.

VOWEL TEAMS to choose from

ee, ea, oa, ai, ea oe, ie, ay, ow, ou, oo, aw, au, oi, oy, and ew.

Here is an example:

ea words - meat - rearrange into team, eat, at, ate, a, met, mate. am

lean - rearrange into an, lane, lea

oa words, boat - rearrange into oat, to, at, boa, tab

ou word - about - rearrange into out, bat, at, to tub, tab
