• UTK College of Veterinary Medicine Summer Experience Program To apply a student must: be a legal resident of the State of Tennessee and enrolled in a Tennessee high school or home schooled, be a current high school junior or senior at the time of the application submission, be at least 16 years of age by June 1, 2020, have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, be available for full time employment (40 hours/ week) between June 7 - July 16, 2021, have not previously participated in the Veterinary Summer Experience Program. Must submit an application, an official high school transcript, and three reference letters. Must be submitted electronically by 11:59 p.m. TBD (March), 2019. • Summer Bridge Program- Open to TN Promise Students who scored below a 19 on any section of the ACT and who may not have tested into college level courses on the ACT and would like to begin on a more college-ready level in the fall. • Duke Summer Session for High School Students’ programs is now available! Choose from three transformative programs next summer:Summer College – A four-week, credit-bearing program for students currently in 10^th – 12^th grade in which they take undergraduate-level courses. Summer Academy – A three-week program for students currently in 9^th – 12^th grade in which they take a certificate course. Accelerated STEM Academy – A one-week, STEM-based program for students currently in 9^th – 12^th grade that consists of a variety of hands-on labs, tours of Duke’s research facilities, faculty lectures, and workshops.
