ASVAB Registration

  • ASVAB Registration:

ALL students (10-12 grade ONLY) to sign up for the ASVAB test. The ASVAB CEP ( Career Exploration) is a fantastic way for students to gage post-secondary skill sets. The ASVAB is not just for students interested in the United States Armed Forces.

Powell High School will be administering the ASVAB test Tuesday, November 9. This test will start promptly at 8:30am in the complex. This is a proctored test, just like the ACT. There can be no interruptions once a student starts the ASVAB. All students will be released from the complex once the ASVAB is completed. The ASVAB should end around 12:30pm.

What is the ASVAB? The ASVAB career exploration program is a comprehensive career exploration and planning program that uses the most widely used multiple aptitude test battery in the world. Results of the aptitude test and the interest inventory enable students to evaluate their skills, estimate their performance in academic and vocational endeavors, and identify potentially satisfying careers.

You can find out more about it here: https://www.asvabprogram.com/student.

If your student is at all interested in learning more about career exploration and options, this is an excellent assessment. Additionally, this is the only time the ASVAB will be offered at Powell High School this school year.

Mrs. Taylor will be in contact with those who have registered on Monday, November 8, 2021 to give testing day instructions.
