ClickView Smart Search

ClickView Smart Search:

This page will show you how to use the ClickView advanced search function to find resources mapped to the Victorian Curriculum.

One of the great advantages of ClickView is that is easily allows us to add videos from free to air television to our ClickView library.

If you watch a show on free to air television that you think is interesting or would benefit your class, please let me know and I will add it to our ClickView library and supply you with a direct link that you can use in lessons and share with students.

ClickView also has an interesting facility called 'Albert' their smart search system.

Smart search allows you to search for resources in specific topic areas and often to refine it to VCE areas and levels.

I will show you how to access this facility here:

1. Access ClickView through the staff portal with this icon

2. Click on the 'Dashboard' link on the top navigation bar

3. Scroll down the page to find the 'what would you like to teach area'

which includes this search bar below:

4. Now you can start to search for specific subject areas and year level drop down: eg. History (VCE) / VCE Revolutions

5. It also allows you to select a strand and sub-strand as indicated here: eg.

Units 3 and 4 / Area of study 2: Unit 3 and Unit 4 Consequences of Revolution

6. The results you now have are closely mapped to the curriculum and are predominantly videos which are sometimes enhanced for student use with support documents:

7. When you find a video you want to use in your class you can click on the 'share' button to the top right of the video:

8. This opens up this pop-up box with a link you can easily send to students within JMSS:
