Library Resource Centre

The library website gives you access to the library catalogue, online resources & databases, the research skills site and updates about what is happening at the library.

This is also where you can manage your personal loans, make renewals through the catalogue as well as follow many inclusions that encourage your personal love of reading.

JMSS Library Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Our collection includes books, magazines and digital resources with a range of borrowing limits:

 Fiction - 35 days

 Non-Fiction- 35 days

 Magazines- 14 days

Remember to bring your Compass Student ID Card with you when you visit the library. You can use the self-serve kiosk in the library to check current loans, borrow, return or renew books.

Forgotten your card? you can still use the kiosk by signing in manually using your IDcode (First 3 letters of your surname followed by 4 numerical digits)

You can also use the catalogue website to check your current loans, renew items and place reservations just sign in by clicking the link in the top right-hand corner and use your SSO (Single Sign On) Click here for instructions on how to renew your books online.

How to loan resources:

When you have your student card you will be able to scan and loan out directly but until then- you are able to log in manually using your student code

• At the self-loan kiosk in the library click: BORROW ITEMS / Manual Entry (or scan card)

• Your name will come up in the top right-hand corner and then you'll be able to put the book down on the kiosk table and it will automatically loan it out to you- the title will then appear under your name.
