Hi, I’m Mr. Heimbigner, the G/T center math teacher and I am so excited to be a part of the amazing staff at North Arvada Middle School! This year will be my 16th year as a teacher and my 8th year teaching gifted/talented at North Arvada, and am proud to call it home! Previously, I taught at Adams City High School here in Colorado and before that I taught seven years at Southridge High School in Washington State. At the high school level I have taught all courses from Pre-Algebra to Pre-Calculus and courses at the remedial, regular and advanced levels. I thoroughly love teaching! It allows me to share my talents and enthusiasm for mathematics with my students.
I earned a B.S in Mathematics with secondary education emphasis in 2005 from Washington State University (GO COUGS!) and a M.A in Teaching and Learning from Heritage University in 2010. I earned my GT endorsement my first year at North Arvada.
I have been married to my wonderful wife, Arianne, since 2009. She has been battling a host of significant health issues for many years and her struggle unfortunately continues. While her health is very fragile, as a person she is incredibly resilient, and I am so proud of her and how she handles this difficult circumstance.
In my limited free time I love the outdoors; hiking, camping and connecting with mother-nature. Another of my hobbies is collecting rubik's cubes and related puzzles.
