Parent Letter

April 23, 2024

Dear Parents,

I apologize for this letter being late.  Today has been a beautiful day.  This past week we learned all about Letter W.  On Thursday, we did an experiment about the weather.  Using a large clear plastic container filled almost to the top with water, shaving cream and blue food coloring, we made rain clouds.  The children were so excited and really liked it when the blue food coloring started dripping through the shaving cream clouds like raindrops.  On Friday morning, I was excited to meet several grandparents of some children in class.  It was such a nice day!

TONIGHT is the Book Fair Night from 5:00-7:00.  The theme of this year’s Book Fair is, “Scoop Up Some Good Books.”  Maggie Moo’s will be here to serve ice cream (cash only) and there will be cookies available as well.

On Friday of this week, we will be participating in the 2nd annual St. Jude Trike-a-Thon.  Friday morning when you bring your child to school, bring their bicycle, too.  There will be a place marked in the ELV parking area for each teacher.  You will take your child’s bicycle to the spot labeled, “Mrs. Jan.”  The T-shirts for this event are ready and will come home tomorrow.  Your child will wear the shirt on Friday.  Snow cones will be available to be bought on Friday morning.  All 100% of snow cone proceeds goes to St. Jude.  Thank you for all your help and cooperation!

Thank you for any donation made to St. Jude for the Jackson Christian School Trike-a-Thon.

Blessings to you all,

Jan Kinningham
