ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
ARRIVAL:
The school doors open at 7:30 a.m. Please park at the Early Learning Village (ELV) parking lot and bring your child in thru E door. Parents will not be allowed in the classroom but there will be an attendant to help your child get to the classroom. You will need your badge to check your child in and out each day. After 8:00 the ELV door will be locked. You may use Door D under the awning to check your child in until 9:30.
This year, all children will be dismissed at 3:00!
If your child is sick and will not be at school on a particular day, please send me a message. I contact the cafeteria staff by 8:15 each day to let them know how many lunches to prepare. Your child’s absence will affect this number.
Anyone picking up your child must be listed on the child’s RenWeb account as an authorized person to pick up your child.
If you are not utilizing our Afterschool Care Program, your child must be picked up by 3:30 p.m. or you will be charged for aftercare. You may park at the ELV and use the same door as in the morning for dismissal (before 3:30).
Please make sure to sign your child out regardless of where they may be when you see them for pickup.
DAILY SCHEDULE:
We will have a daily schedule that will include: Playtime, Snack time, Outside time, Bible, Circle time, Centers, Lunch, Nap time, and extra curricular classes (P.E., Music, Spanish, Computer). We will go to chapel in the ELV Town Hall on Tuesday mornings.
CURRICULUM:
You can be confident that Jackson Christian is committed to making your child’s transition from home as easy as possible for you and your child. My assistant and I will hold, cuddle, hug and talk to your toddler. Teachable moments will be based on your child’s individual needs and developmental level. We will have Circle time and Center time with Mrs. Erin and me. During these times, your child communication skills, dramatic play skills, artistic and creative skills, plus a lot more!
STIMULATING ENVIRONMENT:
Our room has been designed to create an interesting environment for movement and exploration. Carefully selected books and toys will positively affect your child’s language, motor, cognitive and social skills. Reading and singing with your child is a priority and pleasure! Carefully selected themes for learning are chosen to enhance successful and fun times.
LOVE AND SAFETY:
Your toddler is already loved and we have been anxiously waiting for this year to begin! Safety is a major priority! Two adults will be with our class. The toddlers are supervised all day. Inside the classroom and outside, teachers are very observant. We know how important it is for your child to feel comfortable and secure in our environment.
BIBLE:
Daily Bible time with short stories, songs, and discussions will help to lay your child’s foundation in the Love of God!
EMERGENCIES:
If your child gets sick during the day while at JCS, you will be notified immediately! Usually a text message is the quickest method of response. In case of a school wide emergency, please make sure you have signed up for our school wide text and/or phone calls. This method is greatly utilized by our school as a method of communication to parents.
