WEEK OF: May 5 - 9

UNIT:  Letter Z

PHONICS:

The children will review the alphabet letters A - Y

The children will say the sound of letters of A - Y

The children will learn the sound of letter Z

The children will recite words that begin with the letter Z

BIBLE:  

The children will listen and answer questions about all of the Bible stories

watched and talked about.

MATH:

The children will use manipulatives and create an AB pattern.

The children will count objects that match to numbers  1-5.

The children will count out manipulatives to match given numbers.

FINE MOTOR SKILLS:

The children will glue pictures inside the letter Z.

The children will use play-dough to make the Letter Z.

The children will use the capital Z to make a Zipper.

SENSORY AND STEM:  The children will use mini marshmallows and toothpicks to make a zipper like creation.

LISTENING:

The children will listen to the books: Zippiety Zip
