Meet the Administration

Grant Martin has been involved with education for two decades. Starting at Dorsey in the early 2000’s, he served as a teacher and coach until 2013. He spent 9 years at Mooreville Middle School as teacher, coach, and assistant principal. In 2021, he returned as principal of Dorsey Attendance Center.

Mr. Martin is married to Kristi Shackelford Martin and they have 5 boys : Noah, Braeden, Sam, Charlie and Will. He loves Itawamba County and especially Dorsey Community where he resides. 

Barry Cox graduated from Mantachie High School and then attended Mississippi State to earn a degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in teaching/coaching.  He continued his education at Arkansas State University and received a Master’s Degree in Ed. Leadership.  Mr. Cox spent 11 years teaching and coaching at various schools.

Mr. Cox joined the Dorsey family in 2022, transitioning into an administrative role. He enjoys serving the Dorsey community in this role!
