Mentor Program

What is the Mentor Program?

High school students volunteer to work with one (or two) younger band students who play the same or similar instruments. These younger students are in their first or second year of playing and could use the support and encouragement of an older musician.

As a mentor, the high school band member meets with their student (mentee) twice per month for a half-hour coaching session in the student’s home during a 3-month period. The mentee’s parents are required to attend the lesson.
