2018 Italy Trip

Itinerary:

Day one:  arrive in Rome; tour of Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, Pantheon; dinner at hotel

Day two:  tour of ancient Catacombs, visit Basilica of St. John and Basilica of St. Mary Major; tour of Colosseum and Roman Forum; choir performance at the Vatican in St. Peter's Basilica; dinner at local restaurant

Day three:  guided tour of Vatican, including St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums, and the Sistine Chapel; band concert at Chiesa San Paola Dentro le Mura in Rome; evening visit to the Trevi Fountain; dinner at hotel

Day four:  travel to Florence, guided walking tour of Florence, including Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Giotti's Belltower,, and the Gates of Paradise Baptistery; concert at Terme Excelsior in Montecatini Terme, dinner at local restaurant

Day five:  guided walking tour of Siena, including the Old Cathedral, New Cathedral, and panoramic view of the city; free time in the city; dinner at hotel; concert at Chiesa Santo Stefano at Ponte Vecchio in Florence.

Day six:  transfer to Venice by private boat, guided walking tour of Venice including St. Mark's Basilica; free time in city, dinner at hotel

Day seven:  concert (school exchange) for student in Malcontenta, transfer back to Venice, choir performance at St. Mark's Basilica, dinner at local restaurant

Day eight: homeward bound!
