The highest scoring 24 schools from the regionals will be invited to the IAD State Competition. They will then be divided in half to determine the 12 larger schools in Division I and the 12 smaller schools in Division II. Division I will be the 12 qualifying schools with the largest populations. Division II will be the 12 qualifying schools with the twelve smallest populations. Schools will be ranked by score within their divisions to determine placements in divisions. This change was made beginning the 2021 competition season.

Qualifications for USAD National Competitions will continue to be dependent on USAD Guidelines and Requirements.
