Iowa NYTD seeking entries for 2019 Expressive Creations Contest

Are you an artist, poet, musician, filmmaker or photographer? Have you experienced foster care? If you answered yes to those two questions, then we want to see your work! Iowa NYTD is seeking young artists up to age 24 to participate in the 2019 Iowa NYTD Expressive Creations Contest.

The 2019 contest theme is 'My Future Looks Like…'. Create a work of art demonstrating what you hope for in your future! Whether that’s a dream job; food for all; a cure for cancer; or a large family, the possibilities are endless!

Iowa NYTD will award gift cards to the top 3 entries.

1st: $100.00 | 2nd: $60.00 | 3rd: $35.00

In addition, the artist of the top entry will have the option to submit their work to the 2019 Doodle 4 Google's contest, “When I grow up, I hope…”.

The deadline to submit entries is March 1, 2019. Participants are welcome to submit a digital copy of their entry or mail the original entry to our office.

Digital submission: Upload a photo of your art on social media using #FutureNYTD, or email a photo of your art to nytd@iowa.gov.
