Feedback System in UTD

Feedback System is the most important element of every organization. However, Feedback System here is in context to UTD. In UTD, current system includes a Feedback System which takes feedback through the student on the following points which are mentioned in below attachment file. The feedback is collected from each class for each subject and ratings are given on a scale of 0-5. The medium of collection of data i.e. feedback is achieved using a form. The form is broadly classified in three sections, which are as follows:

· Infrastructure support

· Academic Assessment

· Suggestion/comment section.

The feedback form contains details of teaching learning quality of teachers, quality of course curriculum, quality of infrastructure support etc.

Students are provided 5-10 minutes to fill of the form which includes course name, ratings and comments.

Analysis of the current Feedback System:

The data collected from the forms is manually converted to digital format through data entry. In UTD, Feedback System is very time consuming, firstly we have to filled data in paper and then feed into system, which is very problematic task. It is time consuming process.

The UTD Feedback System follows the simple method of averaging (one of the widely used method everywhere), which includes participation by each student.

After analysis process, an analyzed report is prepared along with graphs and charts which represent data in an effective manner for final conclusion of quality of all aspects whish are mentioned in feedback form.

A formal report is being given to the head of the department on the basis of average results obtained.
