Maths Quiz 2026
It’s time to crunch the numbers and get those brains buzzing! We are thrilled to announce that the Howick Intermediate Maths Quiz is officially around the corner. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, and every cent raised goes directly toward boosting our Digital Technology resources for our students.
Here is everything you need to know to get involved:
23 March: Quiz booklets and sponsorship forms go home.
Friday, 1 May: The Big Quiz Day!
Friday, 15 May: All sponsorship money and forms are due back to the school.
To make this fundraiser a hit, we’re asking students to follow these simple steps:
Learn: Study those quiz questions and answers (time to show off those math skills!).
Sponsor: Reach out to friends and family to gather as many sponsors as possible.
Sit: Take the quiz on Friday, 1 May.
Record: Get your results signed off by your class teacher.
Collect & Return: Gather your sponsorship funds, record the total, and bring everything back in a sealed envelope with your form by Friday, 15 May.
We love to celebrate the effort our students put into supporting their school. Some fantastic incentives are waiting at the finish line:
Mufti Day Invite: Any student who raises more than $10 will be invited to a special mufti day (date to be announced).
Pizza Lunch: The class that raises the highest total will win a delicious pizza shout!
Top 3 Totals: Our top three individual fundraisers will win additional mystery prizes.
This quiz isn't just about fast facts; it’s about providing our tamariki with the best tools to succeed in a digital world. Whether it’s new hardware or cutting-edge software, your support helps us achieve our goals.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping us make this year’s Maths Quiz our best one yet!
GOOD LUCK!!!!

Attendance Matters
The Government’s target is 80% of students to attend school regularly that is to attend school more than 90% of the time.
Consistent attendance is critical for student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing. When students attend regularly, they are more likely to succeed academically and socially.
Its COOL to come to school and if your attendance is 98% or more for Term 1 you will recieve 3 Points towards your SILVER or GOLD badge!!

I wonder which class will collect the most and make the best creative display?
Student Leaders, please ensure your class’s image is added to the slides sent to your teacher by Friday.
Please give the donated items to your class student leader or your teacher.
