Welcome back to Week 1, Term 3. Hopefully, you have had a good break and are refreshed, ready to have a productive term filled with learning and exciting experiences.
Remember, you need to come to school 5 days this week!
Teachers, please ensure that all phones have been collected. Also, do a uniform check before students leave for morning tea today
Mr Taylor is still away this week, so we will all need to pick up rubbish. Throughout today and every day this week, each student will need to pick up 10 pieces of rubbish. In an ideal world, we would not have rubbish because each person would be responsible and no one would drop anything!!
Mrs Hewlett and I will continue being at the dairy this term. You can not go into any shops unless you have money. You are not allowed to hang out at the shops, you must go straight home.
Remember, no kicking of balls under either dome. The only exception is low kicks into the soccer goals on the top dome
Student Leaders
Could Mrs Hewlett please see all those Student leaders who are helping with the Contributing school visit in week 1.
PLEASE meet me briefly in the library at 10.30am for a quick chat and timetable for the week.
Thanks again for your support with this.
Mrs Hewlett

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!!!!
Just a quick reminder about something super important: Coming to school every single day, and getting here right on time!
To keep us all on track, New Zealand schools use the Ministry of Education's STAR (Stepped Attendance Response) system which is attached below.
Think of it like a traffic light for our attendance. Here is what the different levels mean:
🟢 GREEN (Regular Attendance – 0 to 4 days missed): This is the ultimate goal! It means you are hitting the target, keeping up with your mates, and smashing your learning.
🟡 YELLOW (Some Concern – 5 to 9 days missed): The caution light. It means you've missed nearly two weeks of school, and we might need to check in and make a plan together to help you get back to green.
🟠 ORANGE (Concerning – 10 to 14 days missed): The warning light. Missing this much school makes it really hard to keep up with classwork, so extra support from outside services is offered to help fix things.
🔴 RED (Serious Concern – 15+ days missed): The stop light. This means a huge chunk of the term has been missed, and the Ministry needs to step in to create a serious partnership plan.
Our School Mission: Focus on Green! 🟢
Right now, we want everyone to focus on staying in or reaching that Green Zone!
Remember it is cool to come to school! Every day you show up, you make our school day better, stronger, and more fun.
It is cool to NOT be late! Arriving on time means you start your day
See you bright and early each and every day!!!
