I think this was my strongest presentation, individually and with a team, even though it did start with “ok so”. This time around we were 20 times more professional. We had some experience and we had the tools we needed to really take the time we had and use it as efficiently as possible. This presentation is also more interesting. I think we really told a story with them instead of just telling our client what we did, I think this time we showed them what they did. We presented ourselves with a really high confidence level even though I know we were all really nervous. We went into to way more detail in this presentation but I think we still could have shown more depth in what we did because we did do a lot. I think a lot of what forced our professionalism in this presentation was the client. In past presentations the clients themselves were a little informal themselves so we felt a little more informal. Also in past clients the problems we were presented with, though important, didn’t really feel like they would be solving and real big problems. But with Health Spot, we were potentially helping a company that could completely change the nature of healthcare. This problem felt really real. It mattered to us and we wanted to make it matter to our audience. You can see this importance in the way we dressed, talked, held ourselves, in everything. For me personally I think I did a much better job with the intonation of my voice and my speaking speed. I cared about what we were doing and I sounded like I cared. This is probably something that would only bother me because I see it in myself but I think I moved my hands too much during this presentation. I’ve always been someone who talked with their hands but I don’t think the hand movements I made during this presentation helped what I was talking about. I think part of what made this presentation so successful was the amount of work that went into it. The team did a lot of work and I think it showed in what we presented. We were confident that what we were going to share with our client and our audience was something that could actually help and make a difference in Health Spot. Some really awesome things went on with this team. We just clicked. We had some really great days where everything just seemed to work the way it needed to work and we were able to make serious strides in research and having concrete evidence behind what we were presenting. This honestly was my favorite team. We were able to work well and be friendly without being too friendly. Everyone was able to step up and be a leader but was also able to take a step back and listen to another person’s ideas. Everyone felt comfortable working together or working as a team, dividing and conquering, doing whatever it took to get our job done. This was a seriously awesome team.
