PLEASE CAREFULLY READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE CONTINUING TO THE ONLINE REGISTRATION 

INTRODUCTION

At Park View Education Centre we believe in providing a wide variety of opportunities for students.  This is reflected in the number of course and program options we offer.  The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development in an effort to prepare students for the today’s world, has also promoted many new and exciting courses and programs. 

However, it may not be possible for us to offer every course that is included in this book.  Final decisions on next year’s course offerings will be primarily determined by the number of students selecting the course at the time of spring registration.

It is important that students select courses carefully and with consideration to their graduation requirements, post-secondary plans, personal interests and abilities.  We encourage all students to consult with a school counsellor when making their final decisions.  

REGISTRATION

Registration involves the proper selection of courses to satisfy individual needs and abilities.  Consider the following when making selections:

·   Courses that will meet provincial graduation requirements.

·   Courses needed to meet admission requirements to post-secondary educational institutions.

·   Courses that provide academic challenge and opportunities for success.

Responsibility:  An effort is made to support and monitor each student’s selection of courses.  However, it is the responsibility of the student to ensure that graduation requirements are met.

Student Transfers to PVEC

ALL students who live outside of PVEC’s catchment area and who want to attend PVEC MUST complete a Student Transfer Application. Policy 210 The revised Student Transfer Policy and the online transfer application are located at Student Transfers - (ssrce.ca). The deadline for transfer applications is February 11, 2025.

Transfers will be automatically approved for grade 10 students who register for 3 or more Grade 10 PreIB courses. Grade 11 and 12 students must register for 2 or more IB courses for automatic approval.

Once the transfer is approved, the following forms must be completed and emailed to pvecstudentservices@gnspes.ca.

·       SSRCE Registration Form 2025-2026 (Fillable SSRCE Registration Form 2025-2026 - 
PDF Version (must have Adobe Acrobat)
Copy of birth certificate or passport to verify legal name and proof of residential address must be included when forms are returned.

·       Request for Transfer of Students Records

Other forms (such as course selections, PreIB, O2) will be posted on the PVEC website when they are updated.
