Wednesday Afternoon Program

5th Grade Students only

Glastonbury Parks & Recreation offers an After-School Adventures program (formerly Wacky Wednesday Program) during early release Wednesdays of the 2024-2025 school year.  Gideon fifth graders will be bussed from GWS to Hopewell. When signing up, please be sure to register under the Hopewell Program. Visit the Parks and Recreation website to learn about the After-School Adventures program, schedule, etc. Registration is now open. For questions, contact Parks and Recreation at 860-652-7679.

GWS: No Place For Hate

Once again, in 2022-2023, Gideon Welles School was selected as a No Place for Hate School by the Anti-Defamation League.  No Place for Hate is "a school climate improvement program that provides staff, students and their families with a framework to take a stand against all forms of hate and communicate a clear, unified message that all students have a place where they belong. "
