Summer Learning comes in many forms!
In Glastonbury, we encourage students to continue learning and growing during the summer months. This site includes suggestions to help students explore, learn, and practice over the summer.
Set Devices Aside
Parents may want their children to step away from their devices and online learning this summer. We have included a variety of suggested activities on the grade level pages that are decidedly "off-line."
Access Online Resources
This summer, students who are advancing into grades six through twelve will have a school iPad at home. We include optional online resources on the grade level pages of this Summer Learning site.
School iPads as well as home computers and devices can be used to access and discover an amazingly wide range of engaging and educational activities.
Explore a Passion
What is your child passionate about? Consider using those topics as a starting point. Brainstorm with your child and discuss ways to explore the topics through reading, research, day trips, art, music, movement, and other creative pursuits.
Encourage your child to strive to become an "expert" on a particular topic of interest this summer.
