Fifth Grade
Fifth graders visit the Library every week for book check-out. This is an opportunity for them to select materials for pleasure reading. In addition, they are welcome to come to the library at any time during the school week if they have their teacher's permission.
Fifth Grade LMC Activities
visit the library on a flexible schedule for lessons that coordinate with their curricular studies in the classroom.
continue to strengthen their research skills through careful identifying, locating and evaluation of information resources appropriate for their needs.
independently cite sources using the GPS Grades 4 & 5 Works Cited List.
receive instruction on the various types of genres with an emphasis on Historical Fiction.
on reading the Connecticut Nutmeg titles and participating in the annual vote for the winner of the Nutmeg award.
