Marching Basics Video
Marching Basics Vocabulary
FM = forward march
MT = mark time, marching in place
BM = backward march
crab = marching to either side while facing front, foot/leg must over or behind (depending on sideways direction) planted foot
guide = using peripheral vision, look to see that you are in line with others (right guide=look to right, left guide=look to left, center=look to center of line)
8 to 5 = step size, 8 steps for every 5 yards

"Name the Show" Contest:
Student with best theme/slogan will win a new personalized pep band shirt. Three year's ago, we had Star Wars- type music. The theme or slogan was "Red Devils: Out of This World". the 2016 Homecoming Show Theme was based on music of the The Beatles, and was titled "The Beatles Run with the Devils".
Submit a school appropriate title for our 2017 show based on music of Music of The 80's to Mrs. Iken before Sept. 8th. Due date for "name the show" has been extended to Sept. 20.
