Being an active part of your child's education is crucial for their success. Research shows that consistent family involvement helps all children do better in school. At Fremont Unified School District, we believe that family engagement needs to be a top priority. All of our schools sites have a variety of ways for parents to be involved. Below are some ideas and suggestions on how you can remain active in your child's education:
Attending school events are a great way to get to know your child's teacher, principal, counselor, and other parents!
Back to School Night happens around the end of August/early September and is when you'll

Parent-Teacher Conferences are a chance to learn how your child is doing in school, and discuss strategies to help your child do his/her best in class. FUSD conferences are done in November. Use the flyers below to prepare:
Share your ideas! There are many opportunities to support FUSD through different meetings or advisory committees. They are also a good opportunity to talk with other parents and to work to improve the school.
PTA - Fund raises for the school, facilitates volunteer opportunities in the classroom
ELAC/DELAC - Committees that advise on services for English Learners
School Site Council - Oversee school programs
