The Afghan Coalition provides a variety of services such as Cultural Counseling, assistance with Social Services, job-hunting, and translation. Other services include:

• Mental Health for Adults

• Domestic Violence Support for Families

• English Literacy Classes

• Legal Services 

• Wellness Programs

Provides resettlement support to newcomers and their families. Support areas include:

• Providing immediate essentials

• Assisting families with educational needs

• Coordinating household donations for newcomer family units

• Connecting newcomers to critical health, housing and other support services

• Free English Lessons for Pashto speakers: 

• Free downloadable Pashto to English lessons. 

• Find an Immigration Lawyer: AILA

• Pars Equality Center: Matches Afghans in need to volunteers for immigration legal assistance, and holds a monthly pro bono clinic at Afghan Coalition. 

• Immigration Resources 

• Assist with visa applications, resettlement in host countries, and volunteer opportunities.

Jewish Family & Community Services East Bay

Refugee team welcomes new refugees in the area and helps them with resources.
