Topic Search Seniors

     For the final essay for the semester, students will write a five-page to eight-page persuasive research paper.  Mr. Winter wants his students to enjoy the topic that they write on.  For this assignment, students will find an unusual news story and propose an essay topic.  It can NOT be anything that is already used or is a common idea.  It MUST be unusual.  You are NOT writing the essay yet.  Students can work by themselves or in groups of two.   Topics must be approved.   Students will present their proposed topic to the class.  You will create your presentation in Google Slides.  It is due February 27th and worth 50 points.

Summary of news story.  The summary should be eight to ten sentences long.   Include a link to the story.
