Principal's Reading Club
Students have the opportunity to get into Principal's Reading Club in 5th grade by completing a 30 book challenge. Students need to read books of their choice, then complete a fiction, nonfiction, or poetry response upon finishing the book. They will keep track of their books in their goal folder. These are available in Mrs. Bailey's reading class at the front of the classroom. They are also linked below if you would like to print them at home.
Daily Reading
In 5th grade, students are expected to read nightly for 20-30 minutes. This is in addition to the reading that is done in class each day. Students may complete this reading by reading on their own or reading aloud to you or another person. They can also listen to you read books too-- they're never too old!
Reading and Fact Fluency logs will be sent home monthly.
