Popsicles at the Park Friday the 7th @ 8:00-8:30am
In 5th grade, students can receive up to 50 minutes of homework each night which includes reading, math fact practice (fact fluency), word problems, vocabulary; math and science quizzes, and spelling. Students will get their homework on Fridays and it will be due the following Friday. A list will be posted on the weekly grade level newsletter.
Homework is extra practice on content taught in the classroom. It is not required but strongly encouraged to reinforce content. There will be incentives for students that turn the homework in on Fridays.
Students in fifth grade are expected to read for at least 100 minutes per week and practice math facts for at least 25 minutes per week. At the beginning of each month, students will get a calendar to log these minutes. Please sign each night and return at the end of the month. Below is a link to the Reading and Fact Fluency Logs.
