First Grade eats lunch at 11:00 am. Parents may drop off any forgotten items in the cart outside the front door (BEFORE 11:00 am). Any items should include the student’s name, grade, and teacher’s name. Parents will need to communicate with teachers via email to notify them that there is an item in the cart that needs to be picked up.

Visiting for Lunch

Parents are welcome to join us for lunch, but we ask that you allow us time to teach students procedures and routines as the year begins. Parents may begin visiting for lunch on September 5th. Thank you for understanding and allowing the staff and students time to learn the routines and safety procedures.

There is a designated parent area for parents to enjoy lunch with their children. Due to student confidentiality and nutrition laws, students are asked to sit at the parent table with their parents and food can only be provided for your child.

LUNCH Reminders:

Having lunch with your student: You will need to sign in the front office beforehand. We ask that you sit at one of the designated tables with your child and stay for most of their lunch period.
Sending lunch with your student: Please avoid dropping them off lunch in the black bins at the front of the building. This is because the food can get hot and attract bugs. It is best to send your student's lunch with them in the morning.
Label everything: Please label your child's coats, lunch boxes, water bottles, etc. before sending them to school! Having their name on their things can help it be returned to your child if it is lost.
Appropriate snacks: Please pack snacks that do not require utensils to eat. Also, be aware of any allergies your child's teacher has communicated about their classroom.
