Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Finished CADing optimized design on SolidWorks.
Began fluid analysis on ANSYS using new model.
Exploring ideas on how we can make this a single handed use device.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Began some CAD developments based on previous team's final model.
Made more edits on CAD design after meeting with instructors.
One of our sponsors provided us with syringes and lure lock tubing so we can try to mount syringe into/onto the cartridge.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Meet with both sponsors.
Have a complete CAD model finished and ready to present for sponsors and presentation.
Have some kind of simulation from ANSYS that displays some fluid analysis based on our current optimized CAD design.
Conduct any needed literature reviews on possible developments needed.
Prepare Proof of Concept presentation.
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Create a single handed use device
Mount a syringe into/onto the cartridge
Prepare a complete/workable CAD design based on our ideas and show to sponsors to figure out budget necessities.
Focus on optimizing previous team's design and fixing their prototype's flaws.
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Need to conduct engineering analysis on CAD design
Look more closely at the axial mobility of the micro-needles.
Creating a needle grid on Silicone, have a hollow storage tank to separate from the driving mechanism for the grid.
Provide simulations to prove that CAD design is legit.
Edit report by adding sections that have already been completed up to this date.

Risks and Areas of Concern
Have not been able to meet with Dr. Duncan but consistently meetings with Dr. Dobke
Difficult to meet with everyone in person.
Do not have lab access so anything physical needs to be potentially done at home.
Current prototype:
Structure or materials of needles may deform/break during injection.
Optimize size of current cartridge
Agent delivery system does not work as a whole
Energy could impact conditions of the injected agent.
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Everything must be done virtually with the team.
Schedule
Describe upcoming milestone:
Work on ANSYS simulation before presentation
Make sure CAD design is operational
Edit/Work on report
Budget (list amount spent and amount remaining)
Will determine after design of prototype is complete
Progress on Report and Webpage
Report: edited report and continued working on Chapter 5
Webpage: updated internal pages
