Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Conducted some needle tests using the gel test articles that were received.
Began some CADing using previous team's final model on SolidWorks.
Added a funnel system for the microneedling array.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Began some CAD developments based on previous team's final model.
Conducted needle tests with the gels that were received.
Tried to explore ideas on how we can have the needles move back and forth with the funnel system idea.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Meet with both sponsors.
Have a complete CAD model finished and ready to present for sponsors and instructor meeting.
Have some hand sketches on some possible solutions on how the needles can move back and forth given the updated model.
Conduct any needed literature reviews on possible developments needed.
Begin thinking about Proof of Concept presentation.
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Create a design on CAD based on our ideas and show to sponsors to figure out budget necessities.
Focus on optimizing previous team's design and fixing their prototype's flaws.
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Figure out further testing strategies using gel test articles based on our results.
Explore design alternatives for needle platform and the axial mobility of the micro-needles.
Think about possible optimizations for the current model: Creating a needle grid on Silicone, have a hollow storage tank to separate from the driving mechanism for the grid.
Provide more engineering analysis and thoughts when making design decisions.
Edit report by adding sections that have already been completed up to this date.

Risks and Areas of Concern
Have not been able to meet with Dr. Duncan but consistently meetings with Dr. Dobke
Difficult to meet with everyone in person.
Do not have lab access so anything physical needs to be potentially done at home.
Current prototype:
Structure or materials of needles may deform/break during injection.
Optimize size of current cartridge
Agent delivery system does not work as a whole
Energy could impact conditions of the injected agent.
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Everything must be done virtually with the team.
Schedule
Describe upcoming milestone:
Implement funnel system idea
Explore ideas on needle motions
Edit/Work on report
Budget (list amount spent and amount remaining)
Will determine after design of prototype is complete
Progress on Report and Webpage
Report: edited project description, added following sections: Impact on Society and Professional Responsibility
Webpage: updated internal pages, added CAD parts for reference
