• Variables kept constant between control and low gravity group

Risk Reduction Strategy

We would like to determine what design will have the best chance of success. Problems to investigate can include:

• Determining what type of centrifuge will work best. Can include research and small prototypes

• Hand calculations involving the geometry/forces/torque required of the centrifuge to achieve 5Gs of acceleration

• Test methods of applying torque to system, and determine requirements on torque source

• Perform small-scale tests of acceleration produced by prototypes to verify calculations
