Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Most parts for the main design have shipped and arrived
All parts that we will use in the foreseeable future have been ordered
The team has began building the device and integration is now underway
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Cindy
Assembled t-slot design
Created 3D printed mounts for linear guide system and LCD holder
Integrating components on CAD and working with others for mounting positions/space
CAD of slide unloading system
3D printing and testing design
uses rack and pinion system with servo motor
Marco
Created new code to use sensors
Completed the linear guide movements with accurate position tracking
Working to integrate wires and connections to main t-slot design
creating new code for servo - unloading system mechanism
Kevin
Completed CAD for Smearing with Flexible smearer
Prototyping design for smearing system
Working to mount design on the linear guide
integrating with Cindy
Optimized best configuration for smearing blade
Found the best drying method using small fan
Christopher
Laser cutting parts
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.

Finish unloading system design and testing
Integrate with Hematek and get final dimensions of that device
Work on changes and updating final report
Marco
Code for Smearing and flexible blade dispensing system
Optimize location sensors for minimum time required
Optimize code to need as minimum user input as possible
Kevin
Finish testing flexible blade unloading system

Smears with the flexible blade will be the best method
Will be gone for 2 weeks and we will update sponsor with our prototype

"Content
Generally well written but could stand some editing. Too many words/too often…saying the same thing.
A good structure to start but I think you could use a number of illustrations/graphics. You’ve created a body of text that reasonably describes “the system” but without some visual references the reader has no idea of how it all goes together. Block diagrams, CAD, pictures will all contribute.
Figures and Tables
The Overall Process Flowchart is great!
More detailed drawings, annotated"
Team will make adjustments on the report according to these and other comments
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Comments/questions from presentation on 5/2/19
Questions regarding pig blood alternatives to avoid issues with blood
Comments regarding flexible blade disposal method
Risks and Areas of Concern
Integration with Hematek since we currently do not have access to one
