156B Week 6
Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Components of prototype are almost finished.
Control of Motor is well understood and ready for further tests.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Problems about motor control is solved.
Improvements on transducer gate with connector and holder is finished, and performs well in watertightness test.
Drive train system successfully runs the system with load.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
No individual work this week, all tasks are going to be done as group. The overall goal is to finish prototype and run tests as soon as possible.
Finish up gantry manufacture and assembly.
Glue transducer gate on water tank surface. And test overall watertightness performance of water tank-transducer gate system.
Design and 3D print gear cover and motor mount, and assemble on the whole system.

Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
In class meeting (April 30):
Run tests on prototype to see its performance
We are trying best to finish prototype in this week.
Current gantry design seems not perfect
We have a back up design and will work on it once our current design doesn't work out.

Risks and Areas of Concern
The motor mount need to be functions well in watertightness, otherwise motor maybe damaged by leaked water.
We will be careful in design, and make sure the motor mount secures the motor from water.
