Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Prototype of water tank and transducer gate is over half-way finished.
Components for prototype of drive train and gantry have arrived.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Some components of prototype is finished.
Design of whole system is finalized.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Finish prototype and make tests on the prototype:
Shihao Xu: Finish manufacturing and assemble each part of transducer gate prototype. Test the performance of watertightness.
Shengkai Peng: Finish manufacturing and assemble each part of water tank prototype. Test the stability of the system.
Quan Chen: Purchase and assemble each part of drive train prototype. Test the performance of drive train system.
Qiaosong Liu: Purchase and assemble each part of gantry. Calibrate it to fit in the whole system.

In class on April 02:
3-D printing can only be used for prototype.
We made a list of components that have to be 3-D printed and contacted Chris for better quality 3-D printer.
Be careful in design because complicated design might be easy for 3-D printing but hard for actual machining.
We made some minor changes on previous design, and reconsidered this aspect in new designs.

Risks and Areas of Concern
The procedure of prototyping takes much more time than we expected.
The connection between gantry and the rest of system is still not settled. Parts purchased online is different from what we expected.
Motor selection is a problem. It is hard to estimate values of each motor properties.
